Ministries Prayer Life Monthly Prayer Calendar On the last Sunday of every month, a prayer calendar is available at Connection Central. Names are taken from the church directory. Please use this to keep this body and its ministries in prayer. Prayer Chain (for emergency prayer requests) If you need personal prayer, please contact Pastor Michael at (503)304–8840. He is the first link in our prayer chain. Prayer Request Forms (for non-emergency prayer requests) We have prayer request forms available each Sunday next to the Agape Box. If you have a non-emergency prayer request, please complete this form and place it in the Agape Box. These requests are given to our prayer groups that meet weekly as well as our pastoral staff. Women’s Friday Prayer Our Women’s Prayer Group meets every Friday at 10:00a.m. at JoAnne Cox’s home in Silverton. If you have any questions or need directions, please contact us. Children’s Ministry Sunday School (Nursery–6th grade) Parents should take their children to the appropriate clasroom to sign in before service begins. The nursery is located downstairs. Classrooms for children ages one through grade six are located outside in the Children’s Ministry Wing, building B. Please ask the greeters or ushers for directions. Contact us if you have questions. Wednesday Night At 6:30 we have a program for children ages 0–2, 3–4, and K–5. It includes teaching, arts and crafts, Scripture memorization, and worship. This is led by Holly Hamlin. Youth Ministry The mission or Calvary Chapel Salem's youth ministry is to help youth grow into mature disciples of Jesus who are rooted in the Bible (biblical literacy), relate meaningfully with believers (community), reach out to outsiders (mission), and revere God with their lives (worship). High school youth group meets from 6:30 to 7:59 on Tuesday nights in Building 'A', Classroom 3. Middle school youth group meets from 6:30 to 7:46 on Wednesday nights in Building 'A', Classroom 3. Contact Tom Regan at (503) 304-8840. Young Adult Ministry Face to Face This is a group for young adults to connect with God, each other, and the community. Every Tuesday 07:00p.m. they meet for a time of fellowship, worship, prayer, teaching, and small group discussion on the Scripture. People from Face to Face often plan activities and hang out on other days of the week. Men’s Ministry Men’s Bible Studies See the “Community Life” section below for information on men’s groups and when they meet. Men’s Outdoor Ministry Our Men’s Ministry organizes outdoor events throughout the year which include, but are not limited to, clay shoots, rifle sight-in shoots, and fishing trips. Other Events Special events such as the Men‘s Breakfast and Men‘s Retreat are announced and posted in the Sunday bulletin. Children’s Ministry If you are interested in being a helper or a teacher for Sunday mornings or Wednesday evenings, please contact Jennifer Palanuk or the church office. Parking Lot Security If you would like to help with parking lot security on Sunday mornings, contact Michael Harrington or the church office. Transportation If you are over 25 years old and interested in picking people up for church, contact Michael Harrington or the church office The Gathering Place If you would like to help serve coffee and cookies on Sunday mornings, or would like to learn to make espresso for our fellowship, contact the church office. Worship Lyrics We are in need of volunteers to operate the worship lyrics on the televisions for Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Computer experience is not absolutely necessary, but helps.
